St Werburgh's Parish Centre has been sited on the corner of Brook Street since 1975, close to the train station and bus routes. Based in the historic former Bowling Green Hotel, the Centre offers many facilities - snooker tables, pool, darts, crown green bowls and the traditional game of bagatelle. There is a big screen TV showing Sky Sports. There is a comfortable function room for hire which accommodates 100 people approx (car parking is available). Non-members welcome for one-off, casual visit but show up regularly and you'll be asked to cough up the meagre annual membership!
